Before founding HK-Square, Hussain co-established and led the Financial Instruments Centre of Excellence within the Treasury & Capital Markets division of Deloitte Australia — a national service based in Melbourne, responsible for end-to-end financial instruments services for 300+ clients throughout Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

Prior to Deloitte, Hussain spent 11 years in senior roles with investment companies — including 7 years as Senior Vice President at Waha Capital, responsible for finance and accounting at parent, subsidiary and affiliate level: setting up the finance function, raising funding, building teams, developing policies and procedures, and automating reporting.

Hussain has served as interim CFO at National Energy Services Reunited Corp (NASDAQ: NESR), Anglo Arabian Healthcare, NAS Neuron Health Services, ADDAX Bank and other affiliates acquired by investment companies during his tenure.
